THE FLY EAGLES OF NIGERIA HELD BY UKRAINE IN THE FIFA U20 WORLD CUP.
Ukraine held the Nigerian Flying Eagles to a 1-1 (draw) in their final group D match in the FIFA U20 WORLD CUP.
in spite of the loss against USA the Flying Eagles displayed an improved character and pressure during their game against the UKRANIANS.
The first goal came in the 30th minute by a Ukrainian "Danylo Sikans" who netted the goal with a header.
Just after few minutes into the game Nigeria was awarded a spot kick ( penalty kick) but missed the golden opportunity to equalize, Mohammed Tojani who stepped up to play the spot kick missed the goal and allowed UKRAINE continue in their 1-0 lead.
Six minutes after the restart another spot kick was award to Nigeria but this time the opportunity was not wasted as the game was leveled to a 1-1 draw.
The Flying Eagles kept the pressure up until the final whistle bringing the game to a draw. NIGERIA (1) UKRAINE (1).
in the table Nigeria finished 3rd following the victory of USA over QATAR.
the flying eagles will have to wait for the outcome of the other games to know their faith if they would qualify as one of the best losers.
